That's all I could think of at the top of my head, hope that helps any.Įdit: maybe dont use Vømmøl Spelmanslag to learn the language, they have a very heavy dialect, which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but it could be difficult for a non-native norwegian to understand. On the topic of christmas songs though, I quite enjoy Viggo and Reidar's album "Viggo & Reidar synger julen inn – en jul i containeren", it's a collection of satire christmas songs, about being homeless on christmas or being in a dysfunctional relationship.įinally there's a group called Vømmøl Spellmannslag, but their songs can be a bit more serious, in the sense that they're about life, about working on a farm or working at a lumber yard, one song is literally about an old man who is dying of age, but many of their songs are also lighthearted. There's also Bjelleklang which is an acapella group, not to be mistaken with the Norwegian translation of the christmas song jingle bells, their songs are also comedic and they make covers of famous English songs too, the covers being in Norwegian and usually the lyrics differ from the original song to get a comedic result. ![]() I enjoy most things by Øystein Sunde, his songs are mostly light hearted and usually comedic.
